Fylix Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to Fylix | Skyie Global, the tax record-keeping and preparation service at fylix.co.uk supplied by Skyie Global InfoTech Ltd. They cover the product, rather than general browsing of our organisation's website.
Last updated 1 November 2026
1. Your agreement and the service provider
Skyie Global InfoTech Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17294509. Registered office: Unit 37B, Alpha House, 100 Borough High Street, London, SE1 1LB, United Kingdom.
These terms govern access to and use of Fylix by individuals, self-employed people, landlords, agents and accountancy firms. Any agreed order or subscription specifies the features and charges that apply. A separately agreed business contract prevails where it expressly changes these terms; mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
You must be at least 18, have authority to enter the agreement and provide accurate registration details. If you use Fylix for an organisation or client, you must have authority to do so. Contact [email protected] with service or contract questions.
2. Available functionality and HMRC access
Fylix helps users maintain digital records, prepare tax information and review supported calculations and submissions. The features available to you depend on your account, the supported tax years and income types, and the status shown in the service.
HMRC production access is subject to HMRC's review. Live HMRC filing must be approved and enabled for the relevant functionality before it can be used; a Sandbox test is not a live tax submission. We do not represent a pending application as HMRC approval or endorsement.
You must grant the appropriate HMRC software permission before connecting a live account. Agents must also have the required authority for each client. Review the selected taxpayer, tax year, figures and declaration before confirming a submission. Revoking HMRC permission may prevent further HMRC requests but does not undo a submission already accepted by HMRC.
A calculation or estimate reflects the information available at the time and may change. The service does not replace professional tax advice, and you remain responsible for accurate records, appropriate authority, filing deadlines and tax payments. This does not remove our responsibility to provide the contracted service with reasonable care and skill.
3. Account security and acceptable use
Use your own authorised account, protect your sign-in credentials and complete verification required for sensitive actions. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access. Organisation administrators should give people only the access needed for their work.
Do not use Fylix to submit information you know to be false, obtain access to another person's records without authority, distribute malicious code, disrupt the service or circumvent security controls. Do not resell or sublicense access without our agreement. Lawful use by an authorised accountancy firm for its clients is permitted within its agreed service.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users or investigate misuse. We will explain the restriction where doing so would not compromise security or breach a legal obligation.
4. Your records, exports and personal data
You retain ownership of your records and content. You grant us the rights needed to host, process, display and transmit them to provide the service and carry out your authorised instructions. You must have the necessary rights to upload or share information about other people.
You can access and export the records made available to your account through the service, or contact support for help. Maintain appropriate copies of records needed for your tax and business obligations. Changes to submitted figures should follow the applicable correction or amendment process; editing a local record does not itself amend a return held by HMRC.
The Fylix Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling, including information required for HMRC fraud prevention. Where we process client data on a business customer's instructions, the applicable data-processing agreement also applies. Account closure does not automatically erase records that must lawfully be retained.
5. Charges, renewal and cancellation
The price, billing interval, VAT treatment and included features are those shown and agreed when you order. No paid subscription is created merely by reading these pages. Where a subscription renews automatically, that arrangement must be disclosed before purchase. You can cancel renewal through the available account controls or by contacting support.
We give at least 30 days' notice of a subscription price change. A change will apply from the stated future billing period, and you can cancel before it takes effect. If a payment fails, we may suspend paid access after contacting you and allowing a reasonable opportunity to resolve it.
Our 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers remains available. Contact support within 14 days of subscribing to request it. After that period, refunds depend on the agreed service and circumstances, including any legal right to a refund. A free trial carries no subscription payment to refund.
If you purchase as a consumer, your statutory cancellation rights and remedies for a service that is not supplied as agreed are unaffected. Any request to start performance during a statutory cancellation period, and any legally required acknowledgement, must be obtained separately; these terms alone do not waive those rights.
6. Licence and intellectual property
Skyie Global InfoTech Ltd or its licensors own the Fylix software, design and brand materials. Subject to the agreement, you receive permission to use the service for your own or your organisation's lawful purposes, including work for clients you are authorised to represent. Ownership of your data is unaffected.
Do not copy, distribute or reverse engineer the service except where we permit it or the law gives you a right to do so. Nothing in these terms removes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Availability, maintenance and third-party services
We maintain the service and may make changes for security, reliability, legislative updates or HMRC requirements. We will give reasonable notice of material changes affecting your use where practicable. Urgent security or legal changes may need to take effect sooner.
Internet connections, HMRC and other external services can be unavailable or delayed. We cannot promise uninterrupted availability or immediate acceptance of every submission. Check the outcome shown in the service, retain receipts and contact support if an outcome is uncertain. A timeout should not be treated as proof that HMRC rejected or accepted a request.
We do not promise that every income type, tax year or optional integration is supported. Check the scope shown in the service before relying on a feature for a filing obligation.
8. Ending the service
You may cancel your subscription or request account closure by contacting support or using the relevant account control. Unless a statutory right or agreed refund applies, cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period.
We may suspend or end access for a serious breach, unlawful activity, persistent non-payment or a material security risk. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to put matters right.
Export your records before closing your account. You may request a copy of your accessible records within 30 days after termination; contact support if sign-in access has ended. Retention and erasure are handled under the Fylix Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements. Any fees already due remain payable, subject to your statutory rights.
9. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory data-protection and consumer rights are not restricted.
For consumers, we remain responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of the agreement or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for a loss that was not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from consumer use.
For business customers, subject to the protections above and any separately agreed contract, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees paid for the service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential business losses. A loss caused by incorrect information, an unauthorised instruction or a missed obligation remains the responsibility of the party responsible for it; this does not excuse our own breach or negligence where liability cannot be excluded.
10. Complaints, changes and governing law
Please contact [email protected] if something is wrong so that we can investigate and try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from using a legal remedy or contacting a regulator.
We will identify and notify material changes to these terms through an appropriate service notice or communication. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. If a material change adversely affects an existing paid service, contact us about cancellation and any refund due under the agreement or law.
The agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales. Business disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable law. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue to apply.
